Chapter 4
Missy fluttered her new wings gingerly before following Bellsi with the pots of seeds. Bellsi turned around to wait for Missy to catch up with her.
"We shouldn't have been out for the whole day, just think what my husband will say! I will have to tell him our daughter was kidnapped by.... By...." Bellsi's face contorted with a mixture of anger and sorrow. Her voice was tight as she spoke.
"Oh that Dibamy! She won't get away with running my land and kidnapping Antonetta."
Missy stayed silent not knowing what to say. She was not very familiar with this Dibamy lady, but what she had heard so far made her seem utterly selfish and dark. Missy watched Bellsi as she thought. Bellsi didn't know what to do, she was always there for her children but now, when Antonetta needs her most, she can't do a thing.
Suddenly the sunshine faded, breaking Missy's thoughts. She stopped flying and looked upon the greatest sight she had ever seen. Standing taller than the rest of the forest, a tree the size of mount Everest blocked the view of the whole sky. Missy felt limp at the sight and fell to the ground softly. Bellsi chuckled when she looked at Missy's face.
"Welcome to my home."
Missy didn't even hear Bellsi. All she could do was gape at the tree, if it could be called that. If there had been clouds she wouldn't be able to see the top. When she looked closer she saw that it was filled with houses and buildings. The massive trunk was filled with windows and parts of buildings stuck out in different places. The branches were alive with fairies flying around their home. a large part of the village was suspended from a large branch by ropes.
Then it hit her. She was looking at something no other human had ever seen. She was experiencing something completely new to man kind. She smiled and let a laugh of excitement come out of her. Bellsi took her hand and they flew up into the branches together, to join the other fairies in their home. A place hidden to the world of humans, only the most imaginative will ever find it.
